It’s been almost 4 months since having Leighton, which seems like a good time to update my must haves for moms. You learn a lot when you have a baby, what you need and what you don’t need. Everyone is always getting things for the new baby, or asking what you need for the baby. Well I didn’t want us Mamas left out 🙂 Here’s a few of my must haves!
-A good dry shampoo. I’ve had the mind set that I don’t need to have a full face of makeup on everyday, and be dressed up. I do make sure that I shower every day. It makes me feel a little more put together if you will. However, that doesn’t mean I wash my hair everyday, which is a huge time saver. That being said, you have to have a good dry shampoo! I’m liking the Monat dry shampoo. It doesn’t have all the yucky chemicals in it, and doesn’t leave the weird, white residue.
–Nursing pads. I like the washable nursing pads since I wear them everyday. It’s nice to have them be reusable, otherwise you’d be spending lots of money on disposable ones.
–Milk catcher for pumping. A good friend of mine recommended this to me, and I can’t believe I didn’t know about this for Ainsley! This is a MUST have for pumping moms. It easily attaches to you while nursing to catch your let down. That’s ounces of extra milk without having to pump!
-Large water bottle. I was really good about drinking water while pregnant, but not great about it post pregnancy. I have a giant 25 ounce Starbucks water bottle that I fill up multiple times a day to be sure I’m staying hydrated. Plus that keeps up your milk supply 🙂
-Collagen peptides/prenatal vitamins. Darn you postpartum hair loss! There’s not a whole lot you can do to prevent the hair loss while nursing, but I try to be sure I’m still taking my prenatal vitamins to help with my hair skin and nails. Another product I’ve been using is collagen peptides. I put a scoop in my coffee everyday. They also help with gut health and are anti aging. Win win right?
-Promptly Baby Journal. I have tried A LOT of different baby journals. I finally found one that I absolutely LOVE! I really like this one because it starts from pregnancy and goes until your child is 18. Everything is in one place 🙂
Tell me below what some other must have postpartum items you love! As always, I’ve linked some products below for your convenience in case you liked some of these ideas 🙂
