A lot of people have asked about Ainsley’s nursery. Since not everyone is able to see it in person, I thought I’d make a post showing some photos of her room.
We wanted the nursery to be calming and neutral. We chose light grays and creams, with the accent colors brought in by the decor. We had friends graciously give us some vintage Winnie the Pooh things which I used around the room. As most of you know by now, we’re big travelers and hope to continue to do so with little Ainsy. I wanted to make sure there were some travel items in the room as well. I found great photos from Rifle Paper Co. [it was actually a calendar from which I cut out the cities I wanted]. I found the hand carved A at TJ Maxx along with the cute hamper. The crib was a Wayfair find, and the corner changing table [a game changer I tell you] was on Amazon. The Winnie the Pooh mobile was Matt’s from when he was a child that we wanted to make sure was incorporated into the room. I am an avid reader, so having a lot of books for her was a must! There are some DIY things as well. I made the banner out of old maps, and some friends gifted paintings. We’re so happy with how the room turned out, just what we wanted: a place that was relaxing. Good thing too, I’ve been spending a lot of time in the nursery with our coconut since she only likes to be held at night 😉
