I don’t think I can contain my excitement to share this wedding with you. My ridiculously talented cousin, Kim, of The Big Day Wedding Photography, asked me a few months back if I would at all be interested in shooting a wedding with her in the Bahamas. I wasn’t even off the phone with her before I was looking up plane tickets. I could ramble on about the fabulous details and colors and the dress and the venue, but I have to put that aside for now and tell you about Amanda and Patrick. I met them for the first time on their wedding day. I was greeted with the biggest embrace by Amanda and immediately felt like we were old friends. Amanda and Patrick are magic together. He looks at her as if time has stood still. The two of them in front of the camera were effortless. We couldn’t take a bad picture if we tried. The day was perfect, from the weather to the scenery, to all the guests that attended, and the dance party under the stars [oh, there were wigs to make it even better]. Everyone at the wedding was friendly and welcomed us as part of their group. It truly didn’t feel like work photographing this wedding, and I am honored to have witnessed this love story.
