Let’s talk about our pits. I’ve been on a serious hunt for a natural deodorant for what seems like forever! Not only do I want the products to be clean, but obviously I want it to actually work. When I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago, I started to be more conscious of what I was putting on my body. I have since slowly been changing out my beauty products for cleaner ones. So I’ve tried 5, yep 5 different deodorants. After a lot of frustration and money spent, I’m happy to say I’ve finally found one that works!
Enter Primally Pure. This company has been on my radar for some time, and I was finally able to try their charcoal deodorant. Hallelujah my friends!
As a precursor, I wanted you to know that before I share a product with you all, I want to make sure it’s actually a hit. I never want to share something simply for the sake of sharing. That way, you can trust that it’s something I actually use and like 🙂
I digress. I wrote down a few things that helped with my transitioning to a natural deodorant.
A few tips:
-Try shaving at night. This way you’re not shaving then immediately applying deodorant to your pits…ummm ouch!
-I want to mention, no natural deodorant is perfect because the chemicals are removed. That being said, I still have to apply a couple times a day. This is far better than feeling like every trip to the bathroom required an application of deodorant like past brands I’ve used.
-If you are going to switch to a natural deodorant…DETOX YOUR PITS! After years of putting chemicals on your armpits plus sweating, you’ll need to get all those toxins out.
How to Detox:
I googled how to detox and found this concoction:
Mix a bit of benotite clay, apple cider vinegar and water together to make a paste and apply to clean underarms. Let dry about 10-15 minutes and use wet cloth to remove. Do that as many days in a row until you notice you smell nicer 😉
You may have to do this again a few months later, or during the summer. It’s not a one and done situation.
It’s been a few years since I started my search, and I’m happy to say I finally love this product! If you’re interested in trying out Primally Pure, you can click HERE for some of their products.
