baby must-haves

July 17, 2018

Now that I’m a mum to 2 little ones [wow that is still weird to say], I wanted to update some of my baby must-haves. I’m telling you, if you’re a mama or a mama to be, put these things on your list! You won’t be sorry! A lot of what I’m recommending can be found on Amazon and I’ve linked it below so you can check it out easily ☺

1. Dock a tot. I will sing the praises of this product forever! Both of my girls have LOVED this thing. I thought it was so convenient to be able to have a comfortable and safe lounger to bring around the house when I had Ainsley, and now that Leighton is here, it’s even better to have her be able to nap in the living room while Ains and I are playing.

2. Love to Dream swaddle. Both my girls have HATED being swaddled. With Ainsley, it wasn’t an issue, she slept just fine without one and we never thought twice about it. Leighton was a little different story. She hated the 3 swaddles I tried, but yet wouldn’t sleep without something [those first 2 weeks were rough]. Then I ordered this swaddle and, Praise the Lord, it worked. It’s so nice because it keeps her arms above her head, which she loves, and there are 2 zippers, one up and one down, to make diaper changing in the middle of the night easy. Leighton has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old. Quite the turn around!

3. The nose frida. This is a great tool to have for those tiny little noses that get stuffed up. I actually still use this on Ainsley if she’s really stuffy.

4. The oogiebear. This goes along with the nose frida. The tag line is “the better booger tool” and they aren’t messing around. These 2 things are a must have in my arsenal.

5. Bloomin bath. When your little one is tiny and new, it can be intimating to give him/her a bath. This comfy flower [it comes in a few different colors] is great for the first few months of sink baths.

6. Honest wipes. I have tried them all. Seriously. I am SUPER picky about wipes, and I always came back to these. I feel like I could do a whole post on diapers and wipes since I’m so opinionated. I like the honest ones because they aren’t super wet and soapy. They are thick and durable, gentle on my babies and made of natural products.

7. Lalabu soothe shirt. I will be totally honest, the first time I wore this, I wasn’t so sure I liked it. The second time I wore it, I asked myself what was I thinking the first time because it ROCKS. It’s so nice to not have to fuss with carriers and wraps. I wear this around the house [super helpful when you have multiple kiddos], I’ve worn it to the zoo and I wear it when we play outside. I’m not suggesting you shouldn’t have a baby carrier, but in the first few months, it’s nice to have it built in to a shirt. I’m all about simplifying.

8. 4moms mamaroo. Yep, we love this thing. Like I said before, I’m all about simple. It was important to us not to have a million different things in our home. The great thing about the mamaroo is that it is a bouncer, swing and rocker all in one. Both our little ones have loved this. It’s a pricier product, but definitely worth the money.

I really could go on about other products that we do use and love, but these are the practical must haves that I wanted to be sure I shared with you all! Check out the links below and see what Prime deals you can score on them today ☺ Tell me in the comments what some of your must haves are!
